Veteran 1 tribute at the Pentagon 28 May
As most of you already have seen, Spymaster is bringing 'Veteran 1' to DC for Memorial Day Weekend:
-I will be arriving in the D.C. area on May 27 and plan to make a vist to the Arlington National Cemetery, some friends are laid to rest Site 60 . -If anyone would like to meet up and see Veteran 1 in person, let me know. I will be in DC until 1 June. -If any active duty military wants to arrange for Veteran 1 to come to your base, etc let me know and more than willing to visit. In addition to Rolling Thunder on Sunday and the Parade on Monday, Spymaster is bringing Veteran 1 to the Pentagon Parking Lot from 11am to 1pm on Friday (28th) right in front of the entrance to the 9/11 Pentagon Memorial. If you are in the local area, its really easy to get over for a look through the METRO. Hope to see you all out there. Semper Fidelis!

For those that are gonna try and make it over; since its the Mem Day weekend, there may be open parking spaces on the reservations, and the Pentagon Police may not enforce the parking permit rules...May not. If you are worried about that, recommend using the METRO. If you come out of the METRO station and follow the sidewalk around to the right (and follow the Pentagon Memorial signs), you'll find Veteran 1 in less then 5 minutes!

How do I get me car on the METRO? Is it like bikes? The last car can be used? Will it make it up the escalator or the elevator? LOL

Hey im gonna try to make it....Im at the Ft Meade area and Im gonna try to scoot out early (traffic pending) ..... and Stu ...."My" Camaro is in Stafford lol

The news coverage was cool. I'll have to record the parade. I think I am going to try and head to the pentagon today to see Veteran 1. I wasn't planning on heading north today with traffic, but would love to see this car.

Just got back from the Pentagon and seeing Veteran 1. I got to meet Spymaster, great guy and great car. What a way to remember those who gave their life for our country.
Also saw BlueGoose, StayMarine, SicSixSix and Flaminbird. Good to meet you or see you again. I'll try and get a couple of pictures up this afternoon. |
