Not really sure collectible is in the cards unless you plan on keeping it in immaculate condition for say the next 20, 25 or 30 or more years. By then you would have a rare "gas" powered car the way things are going with drill/no drill. That fact may be what makes it rare, not that it is an '11 or '12. that is my opinion and you know how opinions are....

Agreed. It's a car, therefore it will depreciate - production numbers are too high for it to become "white glove collectible", imho. I'm forecasting $300. per month depreciation for OrangeVert even in the 6 months a year I don't drive her/him.

More desirable though? Maybe - the first year of the gen5 vert. As far as 2011s being worth more $, I don't think so.
