Should I trade my 'Vette for a SS vert?

Hi guys, new to the forum here. I've been jonesing the Camaro convertibles since they came out. The problem is that my best daily driver is an '09 C6 Z51.... Am I crazy to to even think of trading it for a 2011 Camaro SS 'vert?

I do like convertibles, always have and I've owned several roadsters in the past as well as a '61 Buick Electra Convertible (that was a beauty). Anyway, I'm thinking this is a brand new car with a new warranty and all and I don't have to give up the LS3 engine, etc. OTOH, I'm gonna be paying even more $$ for those tires when they wear out and possible higher ad valorem taxes...
I'm pretty conflicted here. The dealer is making noises about an even trade.. Help me out here.

Thanks

No, you are not crazy. I started looking at a vette but switched to a camaro. If you can afford it, keep the vette and add the vert.

Keep the Vette and add the Vert if you can afford it. If not just keep the Vette.

Thanks for the input guys. I really appreciate the good and honest feedback. Here's how it went, After going to Road Atlanta for an open house of the Skip Barber driving school, I drove to MaxiPrice Chevrolet where they had been bugging me to come in and trade my Vette.
When I got there, they told me that a yellow SS convertible in the showroom was the only vert they had and how they are flying out the door, yadda yadda. I kind of had the feeling that this was not going to go so well...

They were nice enough and they actually got the car out of the showroom for me to drive it (it probably helps that I bought the Vette from the sales manager).

Anyway, I like the car a lot although it's incredibly heavier than my Vette. It's not slow by any means, but definitely slower than the Vette. I loved the ride and handling, very nice indeed. I hated the dashboard though. It really does not do it for me.
Bottom line, they "only" marked up the SS $2K over MSRP... So I could have the deal of a lifetime: give them my Z51 *and* just a shade under $10K and I could drive that puppy out.

Well, the decision was pretty much made for me then. Even if I had the extra $10K burning a hole in mt pocket (which I do not), I just could not see the merit of that trade.
I loved the Camaro and I think it's a great car, but I saw a couple of older Camaros while driving there and kept thinking: Would I be happier with that Camaro than with the same year Corvette?

I guess I better buy lottery tickets more often (I never bought one) if I intend to buy a Camaro SS vert

Oh yeah, he did offer to trade keys for a yellow SS coupe he had there with about 10K miles....
