Not so in Texas. The plate has to be on the FRONT of the car if you read the code. You will get a ticket if it's not on the FRONT as in inside on the dash. Bellaire will give you a ticket. HPD will not in most cases...DPS for sure....

I just mounted the stock front bracket upside down with zip ties, works great and no drilling. Someone posted it on another thread.

I installed mine as well after getting pulled over for it. They seem to be cracking down more in texas.

Luckily they aren't real anal about it here. I'll put one on when they make motorcycles put one on.

Zip ties FTW.

I did this after several coworkers with all different types of cars/trucks got pulled over for no front plate.

I got pulled over for a speeding, I didn't get a ticket for speeding but got one for no front plate, the ticket was for $35 which I was going to just pay until I found out it is a violation and goes on your insurance for the next 5-6 yrs so I had to go to court and fight it. Luckily I know some Troopers and I got the ticket fixed.

MMMMMMM I've got to say it doesn't really look great IMO, but it is a great solution for some.

Sorry boys, not to rub it in, but I don't have to worry about that, cause in Florida we don't have to have a front plate!

After researching all of the threads on this, I think this is the best front plate mount. Unfortunatley, this guy must be out of business.

Two plate law her in Ct but it's not generally enforced. I bet one in 10 cars here doesn't have a front plate. I guess were are lucky.
