AFR MONGOOSE

Here is a flow chart that I put together, it has flow data from the mfc's web sites. For my 427 Dart engine build I went with the AFR Mongoose 260's with inconel exhaust valves. I wanted to stay with a 260cc intake to keep air velocity up.

The Frankinstein heads flowed the best!

Hope this helps...

Mast has heads with larger intake runners, I think they are 295cc and would flow allot more. I tried to keep the spreadsheet apples to apples around 260cc intakes. Not dissing any head mfc. they all have different strengths.
I know that supercharges or turbo engines like better flowing exhaust ports. So the Mast heads would probably have been a better choice for me. But I went with AFR... Personal choice.

I think West Coast Cylinder Heads does a fine job with their CNC program on Brodix BR7 or BR-3 heads. If I was in the market for new heads on a 427, BR-7 is what I would go with.
