So went for a cruise and was headed back to the house pulled up to a stop light with no one around. Well a cop comes over the hill pulls up next to me, no big deal just the usual awww shit a cop reaction. He rolls down the window and says, I see you at the cruise nights and sometimes when you pick your wife up from work. I tell him yea just headed home the first cruise night was tonight but the rain is moving in so a bunch of us left early. He proceeds to ask if I want to race no ones around and I start laughing and say I'm not falling for that get out a little bit then you hit the lights. He said he wouldn't but I told him I lived at the next street maybe next time he said ok and we went our seperate ways. As much as I would LOVE to go against a cop car I just couldn't risk it good story though.

Well the cruise nights here have a set schedule each one is at the same location each Saturday of the month. A lot of people come by and look. As far as my wife she works at the state dealing with DUI cases so cops are always in and out of her office and my car doesn't really "blend" in with the crowd. I would never do it I'm not stupid especially on the street. Side note once they did let the (chase car) run at the track had dare stickers and all.

My neighbor growing up was a K-9 cop, (still is) and when I had my '97 SS, he pulled up next to me at a light and asked, "is that thing fast?" He knew it was because he came over all the time while I was building it, he was just instigating. I said, "lets find out!" He was in a Crown Vic, so I beat him by a lot, but it had to look pretty funny seeing a Camaro run a police car, and not get pulled over! I only hit second and stayed in for about 3 more seconds then got out of it. Something Ill never forget!
