He is right if the GPS/XM antenna is located inside of the car. I'm pretty sure it is the shark fin on the roof so you are probably good with Metallic.

You might have problems with your TPMS sensors with metallic. The antenna for the sensors is in the headliner. If the metallic tint blocks the frequency of the TMPS sensors then you might have some trouble.

I would personally choose ceramic over metallic for other reasons though...

I agree. I was just hoping Agent WD-40 would respond to this... surprise! haha. His advice is good, I got ceramic on mine and love it.

I have metallic tint and it looks great, but it does effect reception (FM not XM). I sure you will get some posts that will say it doesn't, but don't believe it! You will still receive strong signals with no affect, but weak stations won't come in, whereas, without the metallic tint, they would.

metallic will give you no issues......now if you are using a radar detector and have your windshield done.....the radar can reflect off the metal flake.

You are correct. Metallic will not interfere in the FM radio.

Here is a pic of my car with ceramic 30 on the front and 15 on the small and back. Ceramic does a excellent job blocking heat, and I can really tell a difference in the middle of August in Texas. I will be trading this car in soon for my convertible and plan to get the same tint on it.

Looks great! How much more pricey is the ceramic over standard film tint?
