Have you had problems getting warranty work as a 2nd owner?

I took my 2012 1LT in to have the local dealer check out the transmission. The service manager checked the car in and about 10 minutes later came out and asked if I had bought the car new to which I replied I bought it a few months ago used from a nearby dealer. He then tells me I should take the car elsewhere as they "don't have a tech trained on this transmission".
Is it just me or does anyone find that odd? My car is fully within the warranty period and I wonder why they wouldn't want to work on it.

I pm'd Chevy Cust Serv but haven't heard back yet on what they suggest.

A dealer that tells you that they are not trained on your transmission is a bad sign. He did you a favor by not touching the car. Find a Cadillac dealership. They tend to have better techs.

My review of this Service Dept

William, if you're able, please let them know how pleased I am and that I'm spreading the word.

Will do ,

See didn't I recommend them to you before even knowing you had made your own appointment there?

That's awesome! I'm overjoyed to hear about the positive experience and service you received at the dealer. Thanks for messaging us for assistance as well.

Kind regards,

William R.
