I vaguely remember there being a thread somewhere about this. The last post by Andy said they come blank.

All cars after 2012 come with the same FPCM, they are programmed differently to work with the different PCMs in the cars. An SS has an E38 PCM, a ZL1 has an E67 PCM. Even if you took a FPCM out of a ZL1 that was running, it wouldn't work.

Actually at work, we buy the zl1 fuel pump control module, program it and install in the ss's all the time on 600 hp or less setups. They do come blank, we program them with the mdi.

What I said in another thread: I think some here don't believe $199 (what I charge forum members)for more pressure is A good enough deal.Has anyone priced an MSD boostapump lately? Our fpcm works fantastic as many forum and non forum members have seen. If you try to install a ZL-1 FPCM (bought at the dealer or online)in a 2010-2013 car it will not work BTW- Good luck on getting it programmed,ALL FPCM's come blank. Last I checked most SUPPORTING VENDORS are required to be brick and mortar businesses that have employees and overhead(Leases on buildings, employees to pay, mouths to feed, insurance, electricity) that they must pay....So yes there is a profit that must be made for our efforts. If you don't feel that we should profit than im sure you can exhaust your efforts and save some money by using someone else for your services. We offer a solution for a problem....It works hands down when proper installed and tuned. Thanks Andy |

The ZL1 module does have to be installed, and programmed with an MDI. Not a bench flash type deal.

We have used the ADM FPCM with a ZL1 fuel pump quite a few times on FI builds between 600-700 rwhp, it's very easy to install and worked on a 670 rwhp Whippled Camaro we did not too long ago with just pump gas and I saw no pressure drop. To me this is a simple and inexpensive reliable fuel system upgrade that will support 700 rwhp.
