Yeah, I think most comparisons are supposed to be stock for stock.

Definitely a nice aftermarket for Mustang's though and I'll be damned if I'm not thinking about one.

What are you talking about.... the GT engine can hold up to 1000 HP with no engine reinforcements whatsoever. all you do is slap a supercharger on at 40 pounds of boost.......

Sorry Vizon, but I have got too set the record stright. 1st the Mustang with a track pack IS NOT 400lbs lighter than a Camaro SS.
Camaro SS 3860lbs - Mustang 3572lb = 288lbs

Also it takes more than hp to go fast like gearing. The mustang with track pack has 3.73 gears and 27" diameter tires compared to the camaro 3.45 gears and 28.6" tires (probaly a big reason the camaro is more fuel efficient)
2nd 0-60 is meaning less, 1/4 mile times and trap speeds are much better at testing acceleration. In those cases the mustang is left in the dust.

Mustang GT: 0-60 5.2 sec 1/4mile 13.7 102-103mph
with Track pack: 0-60 4.9 sec 1/4 13.5 104mph

Camaro SS: 0-60 4.7 1/4 13.0 @ 111mph
2011 Camaro SS with 3.73 gears: I am guessing 0-60 4.4 sec 1/4 12.7-12.8 @ 114mph maybe

Edit: does your mustang have the track pack, if not then I your car will not duplicate those number, espescially in handleing.

With a 111 mph trap speed the camaro IS A high 12 sec. car, When they did their acceleration test, it was in freezing tempatures (34%) and could not get traction.

Actually one mag I think acheived 0-60 in 4.4 sec already, I can't remeber who But I will post the link later tonight (I am at work)
But in any case remeber 0-60 is vastly over rated, look at the camaro 1/4 mile time and Trap speeds!! as you keep going the gap keep widening. If I remeber correctly the mustang is redline limited to 151 mph, the camaro is electronicaly limited to 157 mph in only 4th gear!!!

LMAO!!!!! no not convienant, but didn't Ford say the same thing when the 540hp 2010 GT-500 was tested and went 12.9 in the 1/4 mile. BUT look at the trap speeds of 118mph.

No point in arguing about what potential mods could do to the car. We're talking stock for stock and the Camaro wins in the performance aspect here. Not a big deal and nothing that can't be changed with mods, but stock for stock the Camaro wins.

I definitely think all three cars are awesome but I can't pretend that certain cars aren't outperforming others.

yeah, comparing how fast a car CAN go with mods is one of the dumbest things. any car can be fast.

You have to choose your poison. I would rather have a nicer interrior and better technology. I can always fix the power thing.
