Cutouts

Gave up on waiting for another pair of used ones to come across the board, so I broke down and bought a new complete pair.

My question is, should they go just behind the cats or behind the x-pipe? I'm running ARH short headers, OEM cats, 2 1/2 back to a magnaflow x pipe and 2 1/2 out to the Flowmaster 50s.

Thoughts?

Well guys and gals, I'm at the exhaust shop and they open in about 30 minutes. Lots of looks but no advice. Any last minute advice would be appreciated.

I would go before the x pipe. Have you done long tube headers yet?

Thanks guys. I ended up having them put in right behind the cats. DFault, I am running shorties- I was running LTs but had to take them off after I was caught with them here in Commiefornia.

The cutouts sounds awesome, they putting the QTPs on but I have to wire them as the exhaust shop doesn't do that piece.

Anybody have any recommendations on wire route? My motors point in towards the tranny, so the outside drain plugs are out of the question. Was thinking of drilling up into the console are and routing the connection to the cigarette adapter with the switch above the 4 pack.

I see you are in Fair Oaks. I live in Citrus Heights. On your LT's could you just switch out for inspection and then go back to the LT's? That was going to be my plan.

That was my plan until I was pulled over by chp on "suspicion of an illegally modified vehicle" and it all went downhill from there. I live off of sunset and Hazel and I pass this guy almost daily, so my choices were quite slim. He actually pulled me over at Miller Park on sunset and performed the vehicle inspection there.

So there ARE a few of us here from the Sacramento area. I just assumed all of the Ca members were from the bay or SoCal...

that's some law.....can't any vehicle be pulled over for that? You need to move out of that place.

Yes the Laws here SUCK! We have great weather and beautiful landscape. Wrecked by Liberal Politicians!

Go the other direction. use Sunrise blvd and put the LT'S on.... i still may get away with it because mine isn't a daily driver. So it would be rare to be caught by the same guy.

How did the install go? How does it sound? Video?

What did the chippy cite you on for the LT's? And wouldn't the cutouts get you in just as much trouble? Lol

Are the LT's for sale now or did you already get rid of them?
