That will be one ugly sounding v6...it will match the rest of the exterior styling!

I think it looks pretty cool and should be one bad ass truck.
Only thing the really turns me off is the giant FORD on the grill and tailgate looks to bubba jack.
Yeah we get its a Ford lol, prefer the badging be a little more under stated, would be much cooler that way and less yeehaw.
But otherwise sweet truck.

I think the 10 speed is the transmission being co-developed with GM. So Ford has simply shown it in a 2017 but GM will have it at the same time. So not a huge deal here in reality. GM gets that too.

I just don't see GM putting the LF3/4 in a truck. If I were buying a truck like this or any for that matter I'd prefer NA. I had heard stories that Ford's turbo 6 couldn't pass GM's towing tests.

Just released that the raptor will make 450hp, no torque numbers but should be at least 450 as well

Based on past EcoBoost history when it comes to numbers like that...I'm gonna guess right around 470 ft lbs

Fixed that for you

GM can easily compete with Ford trucks, they elect not to.

GM can do anything it wants, but for some odd reason it is choosing to allow Ford to own several segments.

You can beleive that if you want to. So I guess for 30+ years GM has "chosen" to let Ford to own several segments.....Hmm. I dont think so.

I had a 2012 F250 diesel. The motor turned off while I was doing 50 because of a bad temp sensor on the exhaust. It said to please stop safely on the dash. no power brakes or steering. stop safely my arse. Last ford truck I will own. The mechanic that fixed it said his did it to him on the express way. there were 4 other temp sensors reading ok but because of one bad one it shut the engine down. traded it that day.

That doesnt mean that Ford trucks dont outsell GM anyday of the week. Hell Ford trucks outsell Chevy, GMC and Dodge put together. That does mean something, it means that someone has confidence in Ford trucks if you ask me...

Its strange that it shut off, it should have went into a failsafe idle only mode, which is the same across all brands with their diesels. I believe its a federally mandated failsafe mode due to emissions compliance, but i could be wrong. It might go into forced idle mode to protect the exhaust system if it doesnt know the the exhaust temp is, diesels these days have like a 5,000 dollar exhaust system

That would be cool...if it were true.

2014 Pickup Sales
Ford: 753,851
Chevrolet: 537,850
Dodge: 439,789
GMC: 214,903

FoMoCo:753,851
GM: 752,753

So with pickups, FoMoCo outsells GM by 0.15%
