One thing to do is please dont consistantly call the salesperson. It only makes it seem longer. And if the sales person is like me and has 8 orders in the system, it can get stressful for the him with 8 different people calling him. On top of that, remember the sales person doesn't get paid on your Camaro's until they are delivered, so they still have to make a paycheck for this month to. A good Sales person will check up with you weekly just to let you know whats going on with the Camaro.

Just got a voicemail that my order # is available. Missed call due to poor signal. TMobile...why have you forsaken me!

Unless I've just been lucky, Gary Richards at Classic Chevrolet Sugarland Texas (281-243-1166) is a good guy to call. They still have allocations available. I'll post the order number the second I receive it.

Good advice on not harrasing the salesperson. I bet some folks are driving them crazy. Thanks to this forum, I'll be able to get order status occasionally as I begin to have my weekly withdrawals.

Order #NNWK8N.

I've asked him to check on the priority of the order. I'm reading about how all this works after the fact. Hope to find that out on Monday.

Then, it's a waiting game. Can only hope I slide in nicely with dealer allocations and SS production quota and all that fun stuff.

Short and sweet, here's how it works:
You have a confirmation number, NNWK8N and are subsequently now at event code 1100. You will stay at event code 1100 until your dealer has allocation available and "tags" your car for production submission. When that happens, you will move to event code 2000 (and beyond). Don't make the mistake some are making and think that because you have a confirmation number that all is good. Your dealer seems on the up and up and you should be ok- just warning you and others not to celebrate until your dealer tags your car with available allocation and you've moved to event code 2000 and beyond. Unfortunately, 1100 means NOTHING. I'm not trying to rain on your parade- just trying to make sure you know what you're looking for.

Thanks again trm0002. I asked him about this today, and he said they have allocations, and the order should move along. He's been very responsive by email. I'll probably continue to check with him on a reasonable level till I get that magical 2000. Then, it's time to invite a few friends over for a little party.

I think I've found a coping method:

Order one accessory each week so that you have something to get excited about during your wait. The longer the wait, the more sweet accessories you'll have collected.

I'm going simple this week by ordering Interior LED Lights.

To each their own.

I preferred my coping method.

He is a 100% correct!! I ordered from Classic in Sugarland but i emailed my salesman so many times that he practicaly called and told me to stop and he said that he cant do anything and that my order was placed and i told him how come im not moving up and others that have ordered after me started to move already? (they ordered from diffrent dealers) and because i kept asking for updates every week i think he got annoyed and had my car tagged for production if i had sat and waited im pretty sure i wouldnt have moved for a good three weeks or even a month. I ordered on 9/14/09 and moved to status 2000 by 9/29/09. So ya, and BTW Welcome to

I am glad I purchased one off the lot. I would've gone nuts waiting... it was bad enough trying to find the car I wanted already in existence (so I wouldn't have to wait).

That sucks i would go crazy if my car didnt start to move after the second week after placing my order. You might want to ask your dealer whats going on with your order. dont just sit quitely or you might get passed up. i bothered them so much that i think they got annoyed and decided to move my order up.
