My tuner believes my TPIS is causing tuning issues. It doesn't always seem to respond to tuning commands. The idle varies from time to time and the car has gone in to reduced power mode twice while driving. I'm not talking WOT either. A couple of nights ago, it did it while I was slowing down to turn in to my driveway. WOT has been fine.

Without a scan file of the event, it's guess work.

I spoke to Jim at TPIS. He said he's seen this issue before and he knows what's wrong with it. I'm going to send it in for repair.

We have sent our TPIS and our NW in for repair, and both still do not operate well with anything more than about 15 psi of boost. We have switched back to the stock 90mm and have not had any issues. Both 102's will be going back for repair and be used on N/A builds instead.

i had same issue, after days of trying differnent things, we came to conclusion it was th tpis, we put back the stock tb and car was fine..jim sent another one and car purred and no issues...hopefully he did not resend my retuned one back to you...sounds like exact same issue..also we spent hrs on dyno tuning and came to find there was only a 7rwhp gain over stock tb...same tuner-same dyno...imo...sure someone is gonna say different, but that was all the extra rwhp we gained from a 90 to a 102...

When I received it, I noticed it had been installed before. I was hoping it was just due to testing.

it would always go into reduced power around 3000rpm when letting off the gas pedal ...for instance , driving down i95 at 80, and completely letting off the gas , would throw code and i would have to pull over , shut off engine , wait a couple minutes and it would reset...

AFR was off and it was getting warm so that was it. It was like finding the banana in the tail pipe, totally different power now. Hopefully I won't need to go with the TPIS , but I appreciate knowing where one can be found... thanks
Where did you get the spacer from?

Thanks. I'm going down this route very soon and still don't know which throttle body to go with.

My NW102 has worked perfect since I made the changes, the TPIS is quite a bit more $ but there is not a lot of choices. I was heading that way next though. I have a brand new 90mm that I ported and never installed, maybe I should sell it.

Interesting reading. Having problems with reduced power as well with NW102. All my codes are coming at fairly low speed/partial throttles and will sometimes not clear at all until the car sits. It started with a 2135 two different times and then after I cleared it threw out 1516 and 2119 and then cleared and got 0606, 0607, 1516, 2119. Car is making about 17psi and around 750 rwp. Runs perfect under wot and it doesn't do it every time. It wents days without repeating although its getting more frequent now.

almost same problem i had with the tpis, wot on the dyno was great no issues...soon as i take it on the interstae for some driving, any quick release of the gas pedal in the 2800 to 3300 rpm , would throw a code and put me in limp mode...new tpis has worked flawless..just a bad 1 i guess
