Flowmaster American Thunder help

Does anyone have the Flowmaster American thunder exhaust on their v6 camaro? If so, how does it sound when you first start your car and take off? Mine at first sounds like a pissed off bumble bee until it warms up. Has anyone had this issue? If not. Any clue how to fix it?

If it's a vibration buzzing type sound your referring to it could be an exhaust leak in which case you might want to check to make sure they're properly attached and the clamps are fully tightened.

No problems with mine, but it could be a leak or the tips hitting the rear fascia ...

I've taken it back to the shop and he check everything. I called Flowmaster and he said something about a cold idle loop.

I added a Magnaflow resonated "X" piped to my system to tame the pissed off bumble bee. It mellows the sound right down. Then I added the Injen CAI to wake it up again at WOT.

Mine is welded on as well. I wonder if it is just defective?? I may see if they can do an exchange.

It does sound different on the cold start high idle ... Maybe that is what you are hearing, if it is that is normal ...

I have Magnaflow and Mine is just your normal loud at cold start but no bumblebee, but the resonated x pipe will tame it down if it's the muffler doing it. But as others said sounds like something is vibrating at a high pitch.

I've had mine for about 5-6 months I've never noticed any annoying bee sounding noise. just a nice rumble to be heard from the cabin and from outside when idling. the only thing that i can think of that could be wrong with your exhaust is 1. the shop that welded it on may have messed up, i know you may have taken it back and ask them to check it out but lets be honest how many companies would take your money do the job and when the customer comes back and complains they would answer honestly. 2. maybe its just from the exhaust tip rattling against the rear bumper. either way you may want to take it to another garage to have them check it out they will give you an honest answer, or an x-pipe
