CAI, Inc, CAI Installed!

I installed the CAI, Inc. CAI tonight. Easy install, only issue I had was getting the heat shield to sit right so the lid could actually close.

(forgive the less than optimal iphone pics)

No codes during a 10 minute idle. I did have fuse 5 and 20 pulled during the install just in case. I ran out of time and didnt get to take it for a drive yet.

This CAI will not throw codes if installed correctly.

Next might be Tint due to Tx summer sun... probably no other mods for quite a while after that.

One other oddity of the install of this, I notice the intake pipe does not fit flush against the throttle body. It is at a slight angle so the gap is larger at the passenger side than it is at the driver side of the hole. Anyone else notice this or know what I can do to adjust that?

Q: did you have to have to unlock your radio upon reconnection of your battery, due to the anti-theft system?

I did not disconnect my battery. It doesnt say to do that in the instructions and I generally dont do that unless I'm working on electrical things in the car. I DID take out fuses 5 and 20 so the computer would reset and relearn more quickly though. (also not listed in the instructions.)

I just installed mine on Wednesday. Shout out to Chase at Apex for doing an awesome job responding to my messages and getting the intake out fast. The intake fit great and breathes better. Highly recommended

Just ordered my cainductions from janetty. I was going to get an airaid for 300 bucks because cainductions isn't getting CARB approved, but I said fudge it and bought the one I want. I'll worry about it in 5 years!

I used to have a non-CARB intake in my truck and when I got it smogged I was never told anything from the smog place...
