I wouldn't let him be the Head coach OR call the plays, but he can coach an offense. Of that there is no question.

Funny you bring this out, OU alum at church this past Sunday was saying he heard that Landry Jones was going to be benched next year in place of a "running/passing" QB. He may know something!!!

So Stoops will be fired then?

Because that's the only way Jones will be sat down. He's a good QB and I doubt Stoops will sit something that is working so well. If Landry Jones is there, he'll be the guy.

haha, I never watch the press conferences. I just watch the games.

All I realy know of Mike Leach is that his offenses were always top knotch. He just can't be a game time coach.

I thinks that depends on your definition of "top notch."

His offenses could score a boatload of points on teams that had mediocre defensive secondaries. To me, it appeared that everything he learned about offense he picked up from playing video games. His running game was next to non-existent. So whenever his offense met a team like OU or Texas that actually had good athletes in the defensive secondary, his gameplan was shot because all his offense knew how to do was throw the ball down field.

So, imagine that, for two games out of the year his offense couldn't produce as many points, but every other game he could. So when you average all 11 games of the season his offense looks outstanding with massive amounts of yardage and points on offense.

Again..... I never really paid much attention to TT other than when OU played them in an important game.

"something that is working so well" PQ, I am talking OU wanting to get "Cam Newton" kinda good. Going 10-2 don't cut it and darn sure don't get you in the NC game. Why did Texas recruit a pocket passer like Mr.Gilbert? I would think after Vince and Colt, if it ant broke....don't fix it. Sorry, but if you gave me a choice of Newton, Vince, Colt, Landry as UT's starting QB next year........Landry would be my last pick!!!!

I bet Mack Brown is out recruiting a new OC right now to go along with the next Newton, Vince , Colt style QB coming to UT!!!

That's valid. Espec. since we are talking about college football.

But it was NOT OUs offense that lost the Missou and A&M games. Only 19 against A&M but neither them nor Missou was very good on offense.

OU had a good enough offense to win. Defense, not so much.

Just heard that Lee Coroso is having to step down as a member of Game day due to bad health and not being able to keep up.

UT Sources have said that Game day has contacted Mack Brown to accept that position.
The same sources said Mack Brown told Rivals Radio this afternoon he will talk it over with his wife and as the offseason unfolds there will be much more info reguarding the future of UT Football and its coaching staff.

IMO No Mack Brown ( recruiting ) Texas will be a Subpar if that Big12 Team.

Also coming in at 6pm tonight the miami hurricanes have contacted Will Muschamp and asked if he is interested in taking the Head coaching job that is about to open up as its I guess all over the radio in Miami area
