I saw a genuine 1969 ZL1 today picture!

At our local cruise spot tonight was a genuine, #'s matching incredible COPO 1969 ZL-1 !!!! I couldn't believe it. The guy had full documentation and all!! What an insane muscle car. My buddy snapped a pic. I'll try to post some higher res ones if I can. What a wild car!!! I still can't get over the fact that the guy was driving it!!! How cool is that!!

No book needed. You are right...and this car is not one of them.

I was thinking that too stingr, the only car I knew of that had a ZL1 badge was the car in your avatar. I didn't figure someone would cruise their million dollar car to a local cruise in.

My Avitar pic is not a production car. Only the black and gold styling exercise.

There were (2) Production RS/ZL-1 cars. One was Lemans Blue / white top with some dealer added goofy emblems and one-off stripes and one that was silver if I remember right.

This black one is a tribute car.

I didn't get to talk to the guy, but I overheard him talking to another guy and from what I heard it was a legit car. But yeah it almost seems to good to be true. My buddy only had his camera set to low res and took only one other picture. Here it is. Still a pretty amazing car!!
Here's what I found on 1969 ZL-1 RS cars.

VINs for all 69 ZL-1's that were built in '69 are known. If you had the VIN, I could tell you for certain if it was legit but the fact that it is triple black with RS package is a dead giveaway. Not to pic the car apart but the grill should have been silver not black if that car was originally black.
