I was kidding, and I hope you are too. A heat sink would have a lot more surface area. Those weights are pretty worthless as heat sinks, they're good ballast for storing heat but have nowhere near enough surface area to dissipate heat well.

LOL Yeah those do look like wheel weights..everyone knows the rotor and caliper itself is a heat sink...moreso the rotor..but the idea has been tested...http://www.fourproducts.com/ so the idea that it is a heat sink is not so far fetched..

Yeah I was about to say the same about basically what hole did you pull that story out of, hehehe.

Anyone actually know the truth to this?

Hey guys Just found out that is the way to tell the pre-order ones from the regular ones...

Possibly?

Im sure they have some good reason behind it. Maybe fbodfather can chime in and stop a "panic du jour" I would have thought he would have by now.

What do you mean it's not on production cars? The person who posted this is the OWNER of a 2010 Camaro that has these on it..

I thought that was a CTF? I would be pissed and the car would be right back at the dealers service center till they came off.

Apologies to the original poster I was just joking when I said it was faked at a show.

I can NOT belive they would deliver a car like that. Not at least without telling the owner why they where on there.

Unacceptable.

And did you miss the post where another owner said his car had them too? And my post where I noted that it looked like Rick's #1 had them as well? Sounds like they are there for a reason.... what reason is the question.

I didn't see the other post. Requardless of the reason they of course can't stay on there and have to come off. One way or another.
