Muffler delete

Anyone in the area with a l99 or ls3 do a muffler delete on their Camaro trying to decide if I like it or not and want to hear it in person?

Oh nice! You traded up!?

Yeah did it to my LS3. You'll love it. No two ways about it. Also added my LTHs since I did it as well and like it even more. Thought it might be too loud, but it turned out to be what the car is supposed to sound like.

Yeah man I traded up to an 11 2ss/rs love it I got an auto though couldn't deal with the shitty ay6 anymore. When can I hear your car man and where did you get it done I'm not trying to spend 400+ on a muffler delete which seems to be what most the axle backs are.

Muffler delete shouldn't cost more than $100. I paid $75 for mine.

Yep, any muffler shop should be able to hook you up.

Huh?

Well I paid a little more than $300, but I had an X-Pipe installed at the same time. Shouldn't have even cost that much but apparently the guy used stainless welds "because that's the right way to do it". I prob could have cared less and would have liked the cheaper price. Oh well, at least I can tell he took pride in his work (or wanted to price gauge me).

You going to the Wild Wings meet up weekend after this one? You can hear it then if you are.

From what I'm told there's more drone on the L99 because of the larger resonators. Either way I think it sounds awesome. (I know I'm not from your area)

I've definitely heard that about the L99s too; but that doesn't necessarily mean you aren't going to like it. Drone bothers more than others. That's something you wont be able to tell by listening to mine.

I did a muffler delete on my L99. I can't really say there is a lot of drone... I think the AFM sound is what SUCKS!! I still have the resonator so its not really that loud...just enough to let you here those 400 horses and not wake the neighbors. I got mine done at a local meineke (should have been $150.00 but that's not what I paid) best money I've spent on this car.
Can't tell you how much weight I dropped off the rear of the car. It was about 1 month old and both mufflers were full of water (matter of fact one is still partially filled I can't get the water out)

Get some headers installed, then get the tune to max out the HP and tune out your AFM (I think; LS3 here). Snoop can confirm.

Mufflers they're roughly 25lbs each when they're empty. How the heck did you get water in them lol? Hurricane Irene?

They do collect a ton of water, I'm not sure as to why. Bad design maybe?
But mine collected and leaked a ton of water before I did the delete.
