When the people on this site put their heads together look at the unbelievable work they can do. I just love coming here. I call the DBC they tell me if the car is on a rail car and where it is.When it gets to the ditribution center they ship sold units first. I have been watching our first one built but it has been at 3800 since 3-24-09.

You all are more than welcome, like I said, just my way to try to give back to the forums. I will keep working on getting more to work.

Thanks!
Remember that a lot of people here are quick to throw out their VIN without any actual idea of whether or not it has left the factory yet. Maybe all of the VIN's posted thus far haven't shipped yet.

I think UP is the only railroad you can track online without registering.
All the rest require registration & lots of info. They pretty much want to make sure you're an employee of the company that makes the product that the rail company is shipping.
But they have phone numbers that a regular citizen can call for the info.

Not sure why, but your VIN is still the only one showing in transit. Good news for you, its updated again and has an ETA at destination of 4/24! (this is the railyard not the dealership)

Car: ETTX 853165 Status: Load Departed Marcellus, MI 15 Apr 21:18 ET Dest: Milpitas, CA ETA: At Receiver Milpitas, CA on 24 Apr 22:45

Yeah , Dealer is saying that ETA is sometime exagerated so we shall see? Looks like either way Ill be able to cruise for Cinco de Mayo

Isn't that cool?!?!

That's why I'm stressing to people to get their rail car numbers so they can track theirs the way you are.

D1,
You should start a new thread with the location of your car. Update it every few hours.

Yeah, that, and even though the event status says 4200, that doesn't necessarily means it's on a rail car.
It looks like a lot of these cars went thru a 4200, 4300, 4200, 4300 cycle.
Probably when they were sent to the upfitter for the stripes. Or even when they were shipped to a holding lot awaiting loading on a train.

We should get get some horses then one person stands up and jumps on a train car while the other holds your horse harness. Then you force the conductor to turn the steam off while you check for Camaro loot.

Well some good news, I was able to find railcar numbers for about 100 of the VINs.

For some reason it looks like the data drops out of the system after they leave the Canadian railroads and cross on to the US railroads. (usually in Flowers, IN or Champaign, IL) This is why I can't find most of them. Most of the VIN's I found were in the high 1000's and 2000's. I will keep working on ways to track the shipments already in the US.

In the meantime, does anyone know how I could post the excel spreadsheet showing all the VIN's I have found so far? That way I could also keep updating it for everyone to check.
