Every single one of them wants the loan to stay in my name and they "take over payments" . I may be young, but I am not dumb. I know that is a stupid thing to do.

Yeah...going to school full time, spending any time w/my 22 month old, and working a full time job is hard enough. With a second job I would not have time to sleep let alone be any kind of father to my son. My son's mother has not even come to see her child since he was 8 months old. I would prefer my son not be raised by a daycare. I get it I messed up and made a stupid decision, but I am not a dirtbag.

If you keep this thing it will be worse later on.

You have your advice now get your kick in the nuts and straighten out the ship.

also, consider leasing the Cobalt to manage your cash flow. you won't have any equity in the deal; but, your checkbook may benefit and you can close the negative on the Camaro quicker.

84 months ... really?!?!? What did she look like? Were there kisses involved? Lube? I'm stunned.

Good for you....single moms do it all the time..full time job..parent but if your struggling. You might want to consider going to school part time til you get your household in order.
Good Luck!

I'd say take the $32,000 offer right away. If that doesn't work out trade it in to a dealership for a used TrailBlazer SS (17-18k) and if that doesn't work maybe an Impala SS (10-12k used, and a better choice) and save up, it's still a very nice car and in the meantime you can save. I'm only 18 but I saved $15,000 before I went in to get my 1LT/RS, paid $28,030 for the car and paid the taxes, plate, etc. I financed for 3 years through GMAC for $489 a month but I still live at home and have been paying $1,000 payments every month and still saving money (good job). I now can pay like $346 but I'm still paying the $1,000. I was sure I could handle it no matter what happened just in case.

Best of luck to ya!

I don't understand how you could get a 600 a month payment for 84 months...that's like 50k. Did you get rapped on the interest rate? a 1SS RS should be around 30-33 MSRP.

In any case take the 3k hit and get out of the car, and don't be ashamed. I think it's great you are mature enough to admit you are in over your head before it gets worse.
