What is everyone doing for navigation? I've been trying and trying with Onstar, and have even taken the time to give them comments and suggestions for improvements. I've given them every chance I can, but they are just not cutting it.

My ideal choice would be an app for my iphone that will have the directions pop up in the dash/HUD like it does with the onstar. Anyone know of any app that can handle that?

I have a garmin gps in the open space to the upper left of the steering wheel, very hidden location / out of the way, so it doesn't look to bad. You can run the power thru the vents to hide the cables if you want as well. Works good.

Same here. Same location, too. I don't use it all that often, so it's only plugged in with the cord when I have to recharge it.

That's what I'm gonna do once my 6 month trial is over.

I haven't checked too much into the onstar cuz I don't plan on paying once the trial is up. I like the idea that they can unlock my doors but I don't lock my keys in my car and I have the spare at home. I like the emergency call if I wreck but I don't plan on wrecking and more than likely someone will call on a cell phone. My feeling is that it is too expensive and not valuable enough when I have a cell phone and I can buy a gps that not only gives me turn by turn directions but also has a map as big as I want to pay for. But like I said I haven't read up on it much but that is how I feel about it. I would have rathered that they left all the onstar stuff out and put a nice gps system instead.

The best way to have it show on your dash/HUD is to send the directions to your car prior using Google Maps or MapQuest.

GARMIN GPS is the best option to go for, and user-friendly.
As i dont have the 4-dial gauges, the GARMIN fits in niCely..

Yeh, signal is perfect... but the reason that you're not getting a good signal is because you might have dark high %heat-resistant window tints, which can block out the signal if they were not of high quality.
