With 3.70s I hit the revlimiter in the last 100' and needed to bump it up to 7000 to make it without shifting into 5th. Mine is an auto though so not sure whot it would be with an manual.

If you dont mind me asking did you get any air temp data?

Sorry for all the questions more interested in data than the actual run, but the run is nice and shows that once time is given the zl1 will be able to kill at the strip and the road course with out affecting each other.
The reaction time looks pretty slow to me as well...

If you go with a 4.10 in the rear don't plan on doing well in autocross with that setup...

The power curve at the start of the thread, shows a safe number for 93 oct, with cat protection still enabled. If we ran leaner with no cat protection it would easily surpass 600 rwhp.

So what I am reading is Non-Emission state ZL1's have more potential....... Im going to be registering this thing in New mexico anyways.

Yes, sir, this car was completely stock exhaust and cats and if we leaned out the AFR from the low 11 high 10:1 where its at, 600 rwhp is no problem, without resorting to headers.

Graham,
My planned mods were a 2.55 upper, cai, LT headers,no cats, and a cam like an ls9 or similar.
With a tune, how much rwhp should I expect on 93 octane? race fuel?
Do I need a fuel pump or injectors?
Is it possible to send you my ecm for tuning, and how much is a tune?
Considering the boost drop from the LT's should I consider a 2.38 pulley instead?
Thanks, Mark

Hi Mark,
If you plan headers and a cam the 2.38 will probably be the best solution, you definitely need injectors and probably a fuel pump, we have tested to 20 volts of boosting of the stock pump and although it will deliver enough fuel, we would not advise this for a long lasting solution. Yes it is possible to send the ECM but we do offer an Autocal that can do this, or if you have EFI Live we can E-mail it.

I would estimate 630-640 rwhp could be reliably achieved with these mods, but we will test this configuration early next week, sans headers and let you know. I have no idea on sale price of tune, I just get to do the engineering, oh and like today, build an engine in a yellow car

Graham.

What type of fuel system is on the zl1? All my time is on the ford side of things and I havent been keeping up with GM. Is this a modulated returnless system or a return setup?

So just so I understand, to run toe to toe in the HP/TQ numbers with the overpriced '13 Shelby how much do you have to spend on the ZL1? I thought I heard negative comments about having to add track pack and such to the Shelby to get the best out of it? I'm confused...

cold air and pulley does it. My guess less than 500 bux.
