I shopped this car also (and the Charger SRT8 SuperBee) before buying my ZL1. I didn't see the value in it. I bought a GT500, owned it one day, then returned it because I felt it wasn't refined enough for me. My ZL is liveable..........LOL!
I'm still considering trading my RAM for the SuperBee to drive everyday and keep the ZL1 for show. |

On pricing we will have to agree that we disgree because I disagree completely on pricing. Dodge is way overpriced.

Challenger build process is 24 hours end to end, from sheet metal / assembly to completion... and it looks like it only took 24 hours = low quality. Ever notice how bulky and huge the car is, in and out?
Engineering methods are built around volume... so much material, people, automation, assembly. 24 hours from raw material to a production unit is about as low as a mfg. can get and still keep some decent level of quality. Granted the powertrain and parts are made seperately, then assembled later does help boost quality; but the short build process in sheet metal dictates less detail in the molding process... more generic. Smaller, detailed chassis take more intricate automation... raises cost and quality beyond current pricing. This is why I prefer the Camaro / Mustang product... more attention to detail, less weight and better quality due to a 36+hour build process as I recall.

They are great cruiser cars, but they definitely do not feel as sporty as the Camaro.
