First Harrop HTV 1900 on an L99
I have been researching superchargers for my L99 for several months now. Originally, I was holding out for a twin screw, but because I limiting my mods to less than 600 RWHP, I decided to go with the Harrop. I contacted Late Model Speed and it is scheduled to be installed this week! I can’t wait!
I went with the HTV 1900 because I read from several sources, I believe know much more than I do, that until you start making more HP or boost than I plan, the TVS 2300 or the soon to be released twin screws, are not as efficient and I could actually realize more HP in my target range with the HTV 1900. WE SHALL SEE. I am staying below 600 RWHP because I want to try to avoid upgrades to my transmission and axles, if possible. For me the cost to go above 600 RWHP is just not worth all the upgrades, and for a daily driver (summer) and for occasional drag racing, this is right for me. My current mods are AR long tube headers with cats, a New Era CAI and a tune. Ed with LMS is really working with me and is going to try to modify the New Era to work with the Harrop, but there are no guarantees. I will have my stock CAI and re-install that if necessary. Actually, I think Ed wants dyno numbers with the stock CAI regardless since mine will be the first L99 install. Stay tuned. I will post the dyno numbers when I get them. |

Thanks Jeff! can't wait to get started on your car, I know you will be pleased with the end result!
I do want to dyno with the stock airbox, as well as the New Era CAI, but I don't anticipate any issues with modifying the New Era to work with the Harrop HTV1900 By the way, your engine cover arrived this morning, we are going to modify it to fit a car here, and I will email you some pics ASAP Thank you! Great! I just wish it would stop snowing! It is going to be a little difficult to enjoy all that new power with snow on the roads! So far forcast looks promising.

Our shop installed a HTV1900 & a cam on an LS2 GTO and hit 630HP...
Your motor is a 6.2 you should be able to beat that. |

stay tuned. if ur like me, the 1900 will prove to not only be more efficient than the 2300, but produce better horsepower on an almost stock LS3/L99.

We planned to do a quick install on Friday, with tuning on Saturday, and get the customer back on the road home, but with it being the first time we installed the HTV1900 on an L99 A/T car, we ran into a couple small fitment issues.
Our customer was gracious enough to leave the car with us for a few days to get this worked out, and we still plan to have dyno numbers posted ASAP stay tuned! Ed Last edited by Mister HP; 02-22-2010 at 12:41 PM. |

A couple replacement parets resolved the fitment issue, and we are going back together today! Should have dyno results tomorrow, I will post them up as soon as we finish!
