It's not for everybody. Realistically if you want that power level, you're going to void the warranty.

I am a noob in these kinds of issues so I guess that would make sense, if you do "modding" yourself does it almost automatically void the warranty? Just curious, my dad's friend back in 2005 took a Z06 and reworked it from 505 hp to over 660 hp, (what its at now) but that was before GM reworked it.

Warranties are not voided because of a cold air intake and full exhaust. I guess it's really up to the dealer though. I had full exhaust, cam, intake, and stall on my 98 TA and I still had warranty work done. Best part, after my factory warranty was up and my extended kicked in...I had my local speed shop do repairs for me since they're eligable to work on GM warranties. Cams might be a different story....

Umm... I can't really speak for LMR.... but about the most you can get with an LS3 to the rear wheels (cam + bolt ons) is in the low 500s, and it takes a fairly aggressive cam to break the 500 mark. Porting the intake mani also helps t get there. My LS3 Vette has 512 RWHP (460 TQ) with cam plus bolt ons.
