My brother has a similar system on his 69 camaro and it make his car sound unreal! I would love to put one on my 2010 camaro but concerned that it could void the factory warranty. So I guess my question is will it void the warranty? If it does not void the warranty, will it be in writing? Just do not want to get screwed by GM, by not covering any warranty work. VERY INTERESTED!!!!!

It's a preproduction vehicle.

That is really cool bc it gives you the sound that you want but if you see the cops or its late a night you can make it the original sound again, nice

How do you handle carbon deposit build-up that eventually prevents a perfect seal?
What about deposits in the groove track? I'm assuming this is a disc sliding system, I could be mistaken.

Im not sure on this- This is technically a cat back system- it just happens to flow really well. I'm still looking for an answer on this but i can't imagine a cat back system would void any warranty other that the piece you cut out or remove from the car. Just speculation. You guys are way more connected to your dealers who may be able to shed some more light on this- If you could, that would be benificial to everyone here. I will talk to the owner of this SS and verify what his dealer said about the warranty process- as i know this convorsation came up. Great question- We should all be able to nail an answer down.

Actually our design is a twin butterfly setup with a cnc machined razr sharp edge that actually "cuts" its own seat into the carbon build up that forms. The butterflies are actually elliptical shape and sit at an angle in the closed position to prevent thermal lock like a round straight up and down butterfly would. Some carburators are built this way - just not this severe of an angle.

Is it possible to change the output while driving? During my daily commute to work I would typically want near 100% open headers but when approaching my military base or housing complex I'd like to switch it down a little.

Yes. Its infinately adjustable while moving and holds any position. You can even program the "military base mode" setting into the middle button just as you would an FM preset on a radio by pushing and holding it for 3 seconds. That way, every time you get near the base or housing you don't have to hunt for that spot again.

I can't imagine this voids a warranty. In order for GM to call the warranty void, they would have to prove that the modification caused the defect in question. The only thing I would imagine would get you is if the valves burned up or the EGR and/or CO2 sensors malfunctioned. That could conceivably be linked to exhaust. If the battery blows up, they'd have a tough time proving exhausts (that weren't even welded on) caused it.
