Sturgis Camaro Rally

So Sturgis South Dakota is having their 3rd annual Camaro Rally from June 27-30 2013. from what I've seen this is a pretty cool rally and the Drive from Southern Alberta and Saskatchewan isn't too long and through some beautiful country.

I plan to go and know of 2 other Camaros from the Edmonton area that are going so I thought why not start a thread an see if we can get a Canadian Convoy.

Why start a thread so early? well the host hotel is getting a bit booked and I thought it would be nice to all stay near each other.

So any thoughts? I'm going regardless just like driving with a pack of sexy Camaros

I was looking at the Strugis rally too, but I have a family commitment for the 2013 dates. I am looking at going for 2014 though!

I think I will be a great trip, stunning drive (well in the black hills anyway) and a good party there. I'll let you know how 2013 goes

I looked at that Rally too, but so many things going on in the summer. Not to mention trying to put together another BC/Alberta Cruise next summer.

Are they offering a special rate at the host hotel and if so is there any code you need to mention?

You are always a good trip, haha, or is it we always have a good trip where you are involved,. As for 2013 if the schedule holds we are game for this.

This is in June Brian, should be no issue getting in a Second Annual BC/Alberta cruise, i would like to see it later in August or Early September just to enjoy less traffic

I've been through Sturgis a few times, once at the bike rally, it is a beautiful drive, i will try to make this one also!

I need to see our 2013 race schedule before trying to plan for next years Camaro events. August will be a very busy month as there will a 20k to win Pro Mod race in Mission followed by another 20k to win race in Edmonton the week after. That series of races will be a big treat for western CDN racers and fans. It will attract a large number of cars from the US with that kind of coin up for grabs.

Thats my plan as well Jim, bit of a longer drive on the 27th but can be done. Figure if you can make it to Brooks on the evening of the 26th I should have some space at the house
