Carlisle map
Getting ready for my first Carlisle gm nationals show. Anyone else from northwestern pa going? I'm heading down 80 Thursday bout 5 if anyone wants to cruise along. staying in the travelodge.
anyway, I have seen some colored maps of different Carlisle events, but cant find a hi res for this years GM nationals. Does anyone have one? on a side note: being my first weekend long show I have a few questions. Do I leave my car there? If so is there transportation to and from hotels? |

Try here for maps, etc.
I have not been to the GM show but have attended Spring Carlisle twice and many of the All Truck Nationals in August. Parking at the spring show was at a premium because it is HUGE. I think the GM show is more like the truck show and they will allow parking on grounds for $10, or you can park outside the gates at any house offering $10 parking. Show up early and you'll have no problems. I think the travellodge is on the "strip" so you'll have a short drive to the fairgrounds. I've never seen shuttles. Hope this helps and have fun. |

If you registered to be in show, you can leave your car there overnight. They have security there all night, but never seen any shuttles.

I am looking for a map like this with all the colors I think the maps on the carlisle site are hard to read

Well, no you park in class. There will be a designation as to what area you park in but no saved spaces. First come first served. If you are in a club, usually there will be an area set aside but again nothing reserved for you personally. Pull in at 7 am and it is somewhat open. Park then go eat! Bring a chair, comfortable shoes, a hat, sunscreen! Pop up sunshades are nice but secure it to the ground. Awesome show. You'll get good looks at what others are doing to their rides.

ok, I wasnt sure if the different rows were already broken up into class. seems like a logical way to keep track of whos coming and how much parking is needed.
Thanks for all the info. Im very excited! Hope to get a ton of great ideas for future mods. |

I wish I could roll with you at 5. We are a vendor at the GM Nationals this year. Our trailer will be leaving at 9 AM and I am taking the Orange Crush (Our 2010 Camaro 2SS) to put in our booth around 11 AM. See us in the Manufacturers Midway as we'll have a lot of GM Camaro items. We'll also have the Hawk pads, Lloyd Mats, Cold Air Inductions intakes, etc. See you guys there.
