Not really, afm disabling is that easy, but with the ls3 cam you get better lifters, larger cam, and you will have the ability to spin the engine higher. Do I think it will be any quicker, probably for those who don't spend time with the vvt to unlock some power. But to each their own.

I'll keep my vvt though, the afm's gotta go.....

He obviously has no idea what's involved in the swap. Just let him think he's right and move on.

I concur. and... the biggest difference between the LS3 and L99 is whats bolted to the back of it. So what is the point of my statement? NOTHING, just like the point of this thread. Happy Sunday!

L99 and the ls3 have the same exact block completely the real differences do not matter if you want to race I would personally pick the auto everyone knows an auto will beat any stick at the dragstrip. they both are great stock cars and both need alot to get real power from them reliable power.

For those that say converting an L99 to a LS3 is a pretty in depth process are definately correct. I did the swap,.... and first I purchased a 2011 vert with a L99 and then after several issues with the top I managed to get the dealer to take it back in for a new, "on order", 2012 LS3 coupe. So yes,.... for me the conversion was pretty lengthy,.......
Figured I needed to add some humor and talk about Camaros since I wont have one for several weeks now to drive.
