Rate MyLink
So now that's it been out a while, what are your feelings/thoughts about the overall experience using the new touchscreen and MyLink? Good and bad.

The USB gets really annoying. Takes forever to "read" if you have alot of stuff on your iPod. Also would like more EQ options

I love MyLink as a whole, but it is not without its quirks.
There is no way to pause your iPod music or podcasts on a unit with navigation. When you use voice commands to play an album it goes to the first song in alphabetical order on the album instead of Track 1. When you use voice commands to play a specific song it starts paying the song, but it says "Now playing (song title) by (artist)" with the song muted. Therefore it actually starts playing the song a few seconds in instead of at the beginning.

For me, I find that MyLink messes up and shows a different song (and album artwork) than what's being played on my iPhone. Happened to me twice so far. Still waiting to see if I encounter more quirks as I use the system. Otherwise, I love the MyLink system, especially with NAV. |

So far I like it. I have a small 16GB USB full of my Fav music and have found no problems there. As far as what is mention above, I agree with all. Also I'm having the control freeze problem that other members are having.
I give it a 7 out of 10 for now until they come up with a GOOD UPDATE for it.

if it's by file name a real simple fix would be to change the file name to start with a 01-02 etc.... my car won't arrive for another month so I'm just taking a stab. I mean technically you could change the tag to to have the 01 in it but it would be a real PIA. |

6.5/10 (mainly for freezes, I got 5 of them in 3 months)
Poor apps operation with smart phone, like how pandora gets frozen at times. Really needs an update. How to update I'm not sure either direct update from the GPS or go to dealer? Has chevy ever updated before? |

8/10. The only real problems I've had is that the iPod is on rare occasions not recognized when starting the car and I have to unplug and plug it back in. More frequently it defaults to the FM radio over the iPod even when the iPod was playing when I last parked.
The navigation is really good compared to other built-in units I've seen in other cars. It uses the tags. Even recognizes album artwork tags which is pretty neat. |

I just got one in a new '13 Equinox but the '12 vert doesn't obviously. On the menu there was an update option and when I pressed it it said no device was connected. I'm guessing you can download an update on a PC and put it on a thumb drive or a smartphone app. Just got it 2 days ago and my wife will be using it so no opinion yet.

Not perfect but overall like it alot.
My only real issue is that sometimes the info from the radio does not display on the HUD. It's very random. The indexing is a bit of a pain, but again not a big worry. Last edited by nyrfan; 04-17-2013 at 08:35 AM. |

I like it very much, wish I had it in my Camaro. Now the Camaro feels outdated to me.

The only problem I've had so far is that the voice lady inside it can't understand English. For instance, when I say "Store" for it to store a phone number, it either asks if I said "Onstar" or it tells me Pandora is not available. I need to get to the dealer for a voice lady upgrade.
