lol, he's an SS though.

OP, can you elaborate how it doesnt fit? Can't close the hood? Doesn't reach both struts? Are you 100% sure if you haven't drilled and mounted it?

i had the same issue... its not a perfect fit... there's around a 3mm difference between the car and the brace. I aligned them in the middle and drilled it in... works fine.

Well, that's not a very good design. Good thing our cars don't need strut braces.

Give us a call at the shop and we can get you all squared away. Also some details would definitely help with diagnosing your issue you are having.

Tell that to GM, they accidentally put one on the convertible and the ZL1.

It is funny how all that works out! There are a few out there they say they aren't needed but GM obviously felt like the new cars needed one. I would let people make their own judgements.

I will say the car DOES NOT NEED ONE. If you jack up the car from one side, BOTH sides lift up. The structural rigidity on these cars is AMAZING but under EXTREME cornering, maybe they would help a hair.

With that said... I want one! No, i dont extreme race but damn they look cool!!!

Second... the convertible has one because ITS MISSING THE ROOF SUPPORT.

The ZL1 likely doesn't "NEED" one but damn it looks cool!

Lets not get caught up in need -vs- want. I bet the car doesnt "need" a spoiler either but it looks better with...

PFADT did a video on it i think... they actually showed that the Strut brace does something. Sold me on it... they were just in the skidpad, i wouldn't consider that EXTREME cornering either.

It was no accident. Chevrolet removed the roof on the vert intentionally Without the roof the 5th Gen needs extra structure under the skin and under the hood.
