Removing Metra kit

Thinking of trading up my 2010 Camaro and I want to remove my Pioneer HU with Metra kit. Has anyone done this? I did not install the HU, but I have the original radio. Is there anything I need to watch for, or reprogram? Any gotchas I may miss since I didn't install this? I've done many HU swaps before, but not one like this. Any tips would be appreciated. Will the factory radio even go back in?

Oh my. If you didn't do the install, you may run into the problem of, "what did they cut?".

To me, that's probably the biggest issue...

I installed a Pioneer HU Metra Kit myself and I didnt have to cut or splice any wiring. You should be able to just plug the old radio into the stock harness without any problems. Don't think you'd require any reprogramming.

I did have to cut when I installed the Metra kit and a custom head unit in my 2012 Camaro, but that was just for depth clearance, which will not affect re-installing the stock radio.

6 screws total, 2 for the Metra, and 4 for the aftermarket radio, and it's out. Everything should be on connectors for an easy 30 minute swap.
