Chipped paint thanks to my wife...

So my wife swung the door open and hit OUR Blazer in the driverway!

What needs to be done to fix this? I cant tell if thats down to metal. I was thinking of just getting touch up clear paint so it doesnt rust...

Looks like it's down to metal to me.

Same thing happened to my car. Easy fix, way easier than a standard paint chip.
Because the damage here is on an edge or corner and not on a flat surface, just apply the paint from your GM touch up paint applicator using the *side* of the brush, *not* the tip. Make sure you don't have too much paint on the brush and just apply it with several gentle strokes using the side of the brush.

+1

Do a few coats and you should be fine.

That one is maybe the easiest one. Edge of the door. Paint will flow and stick well. And doesn't really need to blend.

Post up after pics when you do it.

Had the same chip on the driver's side. Touched up, but it chipped again. Had the dealer re-paint. $300 for a door removal, break down, paint the entire door, replace. Cannot tell it was ever there.

OhDamn.

I have one more on the inside of the door from when my friend just tossed my door open like it was a Honda. I never bothered fixing it because it's barely noticeable when it's shut.

You can buy it from your dealership.
Won't cost you any more than 10-15 bucks.
