RJT has really grown on me. I'd like to see a RJT 'vert with the tan interior, tan top, and maybe some light gold or champagne colored rally stripes. THAT would look nice!!

Its interesting how different it looks in different lighting, seems a bit more maroon in shade and more red in sunlight.

Thanks for the pix, keeps confirming thats the color I want ! ! !

Those look like the polished aluminum wheels to me, definitely not midnight silver. That is an SS car without the RS package. Midnight Silver is only available with the RS package.

It really looks dramatically different depending on the lighting. In clouds, it really is on the burgundy side, a little darker than I expected.

I also can't help but notice, in some of these pics, the paint on the front fascia does not match the fender at all.

I'm not pleased with the discoloration of the paint where the body transitions from where the bumper cover meets the front fender. That stands out like a sore thumb! I can't hardly believe there is that much difference at that seam. It looks as if the front end had been wrecked and a body shop did the best they could to match the paint and couldn't quite get it right. It is noticeable in every shot from every angle...even in the pic where the Cam has been rained on. Your eyes go right to it. I hope this has been noticed and resolved at the factory.

EDIT: Oh...guess I should have finished reading the thread. At least I'm not the only one that noticed it.

I really like this color and was going to order this color till I found out it was an extra cost. This reminds me of the "67" firebird I had. Very similar color. Except the bird had gold metalic in it.

The wife and I have an 08 Tahoe LTZ in this color, in any cloud cover it looks plain maroon, as soon as some light hits it, it lights up and you can see all the flake in it. Its an amazing color, with a little wax, it looks like wet paint.

My black '96 Z28 is the same way. I noticed it when I got it new and it was in the direct sunlight. I went to other dealers to look at black Camaros and they were all like that. Guess it's the different types of surfaces (steel, plastic, rubber, etc) next to each other that causes it.
