High Wing Spoiler on a 1LE?

I was just wondering what would have to be done in order to get a high wing spoiler properly installed on a Camaro 1LE? Would you need an entire new trunk lid, are the holes of the 1LE Spoiler and the High Wing Spoiler the same, or are the holes in different places but could be filled in? I am just wondering how something like this would be done and how difficult it would be. All help is much appreciated!

I did this with my 2011 1LT.There are 7 holes from the existing spoiler,i found a good body shop they have to weld plugs in the holes then grind, sand and repaint.

yes yes and well, yes. some cars they look decent but on a Gen 5 I've never seen one that looks good at all IMO.

Well the thing is, I want the performance and gearing of the 1le, but want the look of the 2012 transformers edition camaro. I thought it might be cheaper to start off with a 1LE and instead of working on the mechanical aspect, I would just work on cosmetics to get it the way I want it. I also really like the rims on the 1LE Just trying to figure out how much a high wing spoiler would cost as well as how difficult it would be.

I shopped around just about everywhere and the best price was at shopchevyparts.com, and ordered mine from there. Here is yours in black.

You could even go a step farther and put it in your shopping cart, go all the way through putting in all your information, and stopping there.. a few days later I got a coupon code for 50% off of shipping

Also, on the Transformers Edition Camaro the spoiler is yellow on top but the bottom half looks to be gloss black. I attatched a picture, is the bottom half portion just a gloss black?

The dovetail spoiler would be a lot easier to deal with putting on as I believe it uses the same holes for that spoiler as it does for the one that comes on the 1LE. So less money to be used in getting the rear trunk patched up and repainted. But that is up to you!
