LS9 dyno mule at Lingenfelter Performance
I was on the road yesterday and stopped by Lingentelter Performance Engineering to drop off a part. While there I got a couple of shots of a LS9 developmental engine.
Last time I was there they were on the dyno making some sick power with a very drivable LS9 (just like LPE to do that LOL) When I installed the GMPP LSA crate engine I used components from Lingenfelter. Their experience really helped me get through some interesting situations. It's the devlopment work like this LS9 that gives them an edge. You will notice that the manifold top now has 2 intercoolers stacked (well really 4) as well as a raised area above the intercoolers. Also the air inlet has been straightened as well as enlarged. I was told they will have the new front inlets soon as a bolt on improvement. Also notice the small upper pulley with a hub so changes of pulleys on the dyno is much easier. Cool stuff! Robin
