Looks like spring 2009 it is... didn't know that - with the financial trouble they're in (as well), you wouldn't think that would be a good financial move. But in the spirit of the new pony wars, bring it!

Some sneak peak pics from ford's site

The '10 Mustangs should be the focus for comparisions, not the now outdated '08-'09 models.
I say compare any Camaro to Kitt, from Knight Ranger - see how far you get.

Yeah you fail at intellectual debate. Besides if we play that game Bumblebee would wipe the floor with the new and weaker kitt.

When there's real info on them, for all we know the new GT could have 150 horses! Ok that's a bit too silly but I've seen nothing but car mags guessing how Ford will upgrade the GT so it doesn't that it can have more horses than the V6 Camaro. They are fairly logical guesses, likely some even have legit sources inside Ford feeding them numbers but comparisons are quite pointless until Ford solid numbers are public. If they were anything to brag about Ford likely would've released the numbers to steal some of Chevy's thunder though.

Yeah, that interior, imo doesn't even hold a candle to the Camaro's.

nothing new on the front end I see.

Mostly plastic dash, you can tell even in the soft lighting.

Hmmm, more plastic on the center console, at least it looks a little cleaner with the cup holders hidden away.

It looks like Ford is sticking with it's budget dragster concept, and why not, it's worked well for the Mustang in the past and will probably continue to work until the pony car is finally crushed under the weight of legislation and gas prices. While it looks tacky, it'll be cheep which is all many buyers care about. For the actual racers (well mainly drag if there's still no irs), why pay for styling when half of it is going to get ripped out to make it go faster, and the cheaper it is, the more mods you can afford to throw into it. For posers, it's popular and cheep, do they really care about anything else?

I, and most of the people on this board are willing to pay for quality so it's going to get a universal around here is all.

I think quite a few people are underestimating the power the new Mustang will have. The Camaro will most likely beat it in handling, unless Ford suddenly deviates from what they've been doing the last 40 years. Looks are relative, although in regards to the Mustang I have to say the new exterior is a step backwards and the new interior is a step forward. Of course, many cars look ugly with the camo on. I'll wait until we get real camo-less pictures before I pass judgment.

But I'm mostly interested in what will be under the hood. Here's hoping for a 5.0 302 combination.

Agreed, what were they thinking with this facelift - interior is nicer (not than ours tho, by far)

The "eyes" give you this look, as if pleading you to put it out of its misery

The camaro will beat it in performance as well... even if the 5.0 hits as high as 350 hp as the car mags predict
