Looks like spring 2009 it is... didn't know that - with the financial trouble they're in (as well), you wouldn't think that would be a good financial move. But in the spirit of the new pony wars, bring it!

When there's real info on them, for all we know the new GT could have 150 horses! Ok that's a bit too silly but I've seen nothing but car mags guessing how Ford will upgrade the GT so it doesn't that it can have more horses than the V6 Camaro. They are fairly logical guesses, likely some even have legit sources inside Ford feeding them numbers but comparisons are quite pointless until Ford solid numbers are public. If they were anything to brag about Ford likely would've released the numbers to steal some of Chevy's thunder though.

Yeah, that interior, imo doesn't even hold a candle to the Camaro's.

It looks like Ford is sticking with it's budget dragster concept, and why not, it's worked well for the Mustang in the past and will probably continue to work until the pony car is finally crushed under the weight of legislation and gas prices. While it looks tacky, it'll be cheep which is all many buyers care about. For the actual racers (well mainly drag if there's still no irs), why pay for styling when half of it is going to get ripped out to make it go faster, and the cheaper it is, the more mods you can afford to throw into it. For posers, it's popular and cheep, do they really care about anything else? I, and most of the people on this board are willing to pay for quality so it's going to get a universal around here is all.

shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo, pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried, there's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. Th-that's about it."

I think quite a few people are underestimating the power the new Mustang will have. The Camaro will most likely beat it in handling, unless Ford suddenly deviates from what they've been doing the last 40 years. Looks are relative, although in regards to the Mustang I have to say the new exterior is a step backwards and the new interior is a step forward. Of course, many cars look ugly with the camo on. I'll wait until we get real camo-less pictures before I pass judgment.
But I'm mostly interested in what will be under the hood. Here's hoping for a 5.0 302 combination. |

The "eyes" give you this look, as if pleading you to put it out of its misery The camaro will beat it in performance as well... even if the 5.0 hits as high as 350 hp as the car mags predict Last edited by swifttal; 10-26-2008 at 04:44 AM. Reason: picture link change |
