Down Payment?

Obviously finances are considered private, but if you choose to share (I understand and respect if you choose not to), but how much is everyone planning/or has already to put down for down payment?

Boy is that a loaded question. I don't know how this information could ever help you. That will be from 0 To cash for the whole thing. You have to look at your own finances to figure that out.

Well I already know what I'm putting down as a down payment. I'm just curious about others and if there's a specific range in which people are aiming for.

NEVER pay anything CASH. Why would you pay cash if you could get 5.5 or even 6 percent on a loan and now take your money and put it in a 7 to 7 1/2 percent preferred stock. You will still come out 1 to 1 1/2 percent higher. Of course you need the cash to cover your monthly payments. Example: My AT&T cell phone is 49.95 a month, I bought 300 shares of AT&T which pays .41 per share every 3 month so that comes to .41 X 300 = $123, phone bill is $150 - $126 so it cost me $27 every 3 months thats $9 bucks a month, beat that !!!
Point in case: even if you have 30K for the camaro wouldnt it be better to put down 10K use 10K to pay the yearly loan off and get interest on the last 10K (thats what your gaining) assuming a 3 year loan of course.

How much did you pay for 300 shares of ATT stock and how long ago did you buy it?

bought it at 24.50 on July 10 and it pays the dividend on August 3rd. Wont sell the stock even thought its around 25.75 right now. Getting 6.68% dividends, taking my camaro loan at 5.7%, whos the winner??? Use the banks money always if you can get more on yours, ask any accountant.
