Water Softener

Hey guys, I am sure there is a thread somewhere for this. Anywho, where can I get a water softener for my outdoor spicket? I saw some online but I am not sure those are the ones I am looking for as they are around 700 and up. I was curious if any of you had a suggestion.

The ones costing more are not water softeners but rather Water De-Ionizers. Big difference. Water softeners work by replacing the calcium and magnesium ions with sodium (salt) ions, so you still have some material in the water.

Water De-Ionizers, such as the CR Spotless, will product 100% spot-free rinsing, even if you don't dry at all. We carry their complete line here: CR Spotless Systems

We are currently adding an inline water softening system to our store (should be up in a couple of days). It can come in a 1 stage or 2 stage system (price will be between 95 and 145 depending on whether you get a 1 stage or 2 stage system.

With this system you still have to towel dry the car but the chance of creating any water spots or water film are almost nil.

We sell a lot of them and people love them, but is why we are bringing in the water softener packages for a more cost effective water solution.

I have been wanted one of the CR systems for awhile now but just couldn't justify it now where I live bacuase of the price. But I like the sound of the inline filter.

Hey Todd I have a question. I found this http://www.watersticks.com/sd.htm which basically looks like an inline filter. Does this resemble what you will have in stock? Also with a water filter do you have to use the filtered water for everything invloved in the carwash process? Or can you just save the filtered water for the end rinse?

My daughter bought me the Mr. Clean car wash system last year for my birth day. At first I thought it was a fun kid gift but when I tried it out I loved it! The best part is the rinse feature it filters the minerals some how out of the water leaving absolutely no water spots. I found the kits on sale at a local discount store for two dollars each and lets say I know have a lifetime supply. I now use Adams for washing but use the Mr. Clean gun to rinse. It works great leaving a perfect shine.

The Mr Clean kits worked pretty well from what I've head, but I believe they have been discontinued.
