XM ??? or just use Ipod/phone with Pandora

Okay I just purchased a 2011 SS/RS black, I thought about doing XM but not sure it is worth the money. I can just use the Ipod hook up and make my own stations with Pandora and pay 36 a year and use it.

I was thinking about the Onstar instead with the Ipod hook up, and navigation instead. Think it would be more useful than the XM would be due to Ipod and Pandora. This way I can use the navigation and if needed the phone, if I didnt have service and also if the car was stolen it could be disabled.

What are you thoughts and did I miss something that would warrent paying for the XM ???

Thanks
Jet

I like the variety of stations on XM. I did the lifetime membership for $400.00.

Pandora sucks away your data plan (unless you have unlimited).

Do you listen to and like XM? If yes, renew it. If you don't then just stick with your iPod.

Unlimited, so that is not a concern at all.

I had Sirus in my 07 300c SRT-8 and had to cancel it, wanted to move it over to XM since there the same company. But there billing doesnt work that way. I had a 04 CTS-V with XM and 02 Z06 also that had it and liked it. But with Pandora and the likes why would I pay monthly for XM, unless there is something that I am missing that I didnt think of. I am thinking about keeping the Onstar just for the convience of navagation and to unlock the doors and security feature of being able to track the car and location ect if stolen.
