this is what you do, if you have someone move the stock shifter so the pin will have room to slide right out.

i just did a hurst on my car, the pin is all greased up and slides in and out very easily, you just need anyone to move that shifter from inside the car.

shift into any of the outer gears (1,2,5,6) so the shifter is tilted to one side. that will give you just enough clearance to get the pin out on your own.

Wow! Took the car to HHP Carolina here in Charleston. Even those guys were shocked at how hard it was to get that stupid pin out. It took 2 hours for them to finally get it out, I was in the shop with them the whole time, trust me, they were working it!! Then once it was out it took forever to get the shifter out. Once it was out the LSR bushing was a beast to get into the u-joint on the car. Then of course there are the little nipples on the upper boot that have to be pulled through underneath and are only accessible if you have 3 year old fingers! I'm really curious about others who've installed a different shifter in the 2012. This went NOTHING like the installation instructions and nothing like what I've heard from 2010 and 2011 installs. Just wondering if something was changed here on the 2012.

Also, want to send out a HUGE shout out to Mike and Jeff at High Horse Performance Carolina, the car must have been there for 4 hours, I half way expected them to throw in the towel but they kept with it and got the job done and were very fair in the price for their hard work. If anyone needs any work done in the Charleston area I highly recommend them. They are the ONLY place that I will be taking mine, other than my driveway!

Hey Oneflyenyceguy, there is a group but I think they only meet annually? If you search the forum for the Annual Charleston Meet and Greet there was a thread on it awhile back. My wife is not a supporter so I haven't made it to any group things yet! I'm working on her!

Congrats on that new ride man!! Now you just gotta get some pics posted!!
