Ported headers
Ok.... I was bored and looking around at the various bolt-on possibilities that I plan to purchase for the new Camaro. I had a question about ported headers though.... without sounding like an idiot, what exactly does it mean for the exhaust manifold to be "ported"? I know that it increases flow, but what is the difference betwen a ported header and a non-ported header?

I dont know havent heard of them. I would guess they have holes "ports" on the headers to let excess air out to reduce backpressure further or let air into the pipes to get better flow.
