Dim Headlights

Hello Everyone,

I purchased a 2010 2SS RS recently and just about have it ready for the road (bringing one back from the dead). Since I don't know the PO, I can't ask them about issues they had.

My issue, the headlights are very, very dim. I replaced the bulbs with new ones from diode dynamics and there was no change. I literally can barely see, and high beam isn't much better. My 98 Z28 is way better, and that's with yellowed-out lenses!

I've searched the web and noted everything from ballasts to the chrome plating onside the housings where the projector is located. I have not changed the ballasts because I find it hard to believe both would be bad. I also saw mention of a possible bad ground, but it doesn't seem like a grounding issue; all other lights, including the DRL's, work fine.

Any help you all could provide would be greatly appreciated!

My old F-100 was like that and it was caused by a bad ground wire.Easy way to check it is hook jumper cables to ground on battery and then ground it to the frame and see if it makes a difference.

Checked all the wiring, re checked bulb installation. Brand new battery as well. I’m stumped. I can barely see and the high beams aren’t much better. Has anyone else had this problem?
