That makes sense. If you look at the tables in HPT editor, most of your timing and fuel are based on rpm and load.

Would that mean that my HP gains are probably also better than what the dyno showed?

More than likely, at least in the affected cells. So if your peak hp was in an area where your were getting false knock on the dyno, your numbers will be higher.

Yeah I would bet they are better than what the dyno said. Almost everyone has a hard time on the dyno with the knock sensors. My tuner has had to use knock sensor socks in the past on the vette to help from them hearing every little thing.

I mentioned yesterday about posting my logs from the Trifecta tuen. I show the before (April 2013) made my best 1/4 mile pass that day, and then the after (Nov. 2013) when Vince took some timing out as he felt I had to much timing going on.

As for false knock, I am sure I am throwing some when on the dyno too. My curve in the last 500 - 800 rpm's falls off. Would love to turn down the sensativity of it if possible. Wonder if vince can do this if we can even get a hold of him anymore.

What my tuner has started doing for all his customers is tuning the cars on the street. He said he gets better real world results this way and is less time consuming also. He tuned a NOS LLT for a guy from VA like this 1 1/2 months ago. He has my buddies SC'd CTS with the LLT now for tuning.

I wonder if strapping the car down on the dyno preventing movement, allows more vibration. Just a thought.

rtcat: It's interesting your getting more KR after pulling timing. Mine, as I said, was pulling 16 max before the tune. When I pulled 5% advance across the board, it wouldn't pull over 4 do to knock.

Wasn't jay working with Vince right before he sold his LLT on a new tune? I think it had to do with desensitizing knock sensors.
