Out of curiousity how many fill up 1/4 to empty, half full etc...??? Any concerns of riding with only fumes??? Please share.

Psychological, but I refill at around a 3/4 - 1/2 tank +/-
It's less of a (perceived) bite of of my wallet at any given time.
Also, I'm more comfortable knowing I'm not sitting on E in case of an emergency.

You do realize you spend the SAME amount no matter here you fill up? You must stay at the pump filling up every 3/4-1/2? Id imagine at least 3x a week. I rather fill up at 1/4 and it lasts me plenty time. THough this isnt my DD. Though I do sometimes have to fill up 2-3 times in a weekend. When I drive, I DRIVE!

Ive sputtered to the gas station on more than one occasion, but I try not to catch it about 1/8 of a tank

I've always filled up at the 1/4 mark for any car I've owned. Rather be safe than sorry. I just don't feel comfortable pushing the limits to see how long I can drive around on E, both for the possibility of damaging parts and well.... running out of gas is a big time waster when you are stranded.

Refill @ 1/4 tank, unless on a long trip (C5fests). I don't like gas pumps no more than next person. Less I'm there the better...

I do about an 1/8 of a tank most of the time.

I'm usually at 1/4 sometimes a little less. Thats more for never knowing when you are going to get stuck in traffic or find a detour you didn't expect.

I ran out of gas one time on a cross country trip.....

After that I never went past the 3/4 mark...

I fill up at a 1/4 tank for 2 reasons. 1 do not risk of not finding gas station that i like. 2 The gas helps keep the fuel pump cooler.
