Camaro soundproofing/floor insulation

I insulated my rear trunk compartment yesterday. I used www.raamaudio.com products which are about half the price of the popular brand name product. The new Camaro has little or no unibody insulation. My local audio shop insulated the entire trunk area including the floor, wheelhousings, 1/4 panels, etc from the rear seat back rearward.
Both products took about 4 hours from start to finish. total weight 24 lbs. Next I'll do the rear seat area. You would not believe the difference this makes in eliminating road noise and giving the Camaro a more solid feel.
The total cost so far $150.00 materials including shipping and $160.00 labor.
Sorry: I'm getting an "error" when attaching additional photos.

I used some stuff called e-dead in my 68 firebird - it's amazing how much quieter it is. Did you feel like you were hearing to much road noise in the Camaro?

My SS was like driving in an empty coffee can. There is absolutely no undercoating or insulation over or under the unibody. I also heard on another thread that insulation will help quiet the exhaust droan on my A6. I want to install my Magnaflow axleback exhaust without doing a tune if possable.
My trim shop is going to do my rear passenger seat area next. Take out your rear seat- there is no Insulation only bare painted floor !.
PS: This photo should have been shown first. It shows the floor and left rear W/hsg. bare floor over the exhaust- NO insulation.

RickyRay: I don't think so. I left the left and right air vents open so there is still air space between the passenger compartment and the trunk area. I also left the manufacturers "code sticker" accessable (see last photo). These Raamat sheets are 15x15 peel and stick with at metal topping. Easy to cut and install and there is also a peel and stick upper mat that matches the stock carpeting exactly. I'm also buying the Camaro accy floormat to top it all off.

Do you need the overlay? Could you just put the carpet ontop of the soundproofing? What is it and what does it do?

It's a black peel&stick carpet like material that should be added on top of the tiles. It adds a finished look to the aluminum covered tiles and RAAMMAT included it in the kit. My photos show it being added on top of the tiles.
