zandron263 I don't believe we have ever meet. At least not in my old age memory. But this is great to have another Upstate C 5 member do a build. The more the better. You have a sharp looking Vert. there. Can't wait to see this build progress thru the winter months good luck with it. You have ssmike & Keith to answer any questions.

Nice thread! I don't know why I haven't checked it out before. (Amazing what you have time when you feel too badly to do anything but sit & surf the web)
Looking foward to seeing what is next!

Thanks Janice and Kevin I like checking out the different sections on C5 and started looking at the other build threads and figured why not join in. I have a long way to go but it's fun to document the changes and see the different things other members have done to their Camaros.

Its been a long cold winter so far and I am missing the Camaro so I decided to update my thread with some pictures that remind me the sunny warm weather will be here eventually. This one was taken at a show I went to at the Tonawanda GM engine plant. I love going to shows and cruise nights its a great way to see a lot of cool cars and meet new people.

The next couple of shots were taken in the fall of 2011 at Watkins Glen. I went to a car show with about 30 or so guys from the Upstate C5 club. I had a great time that day we met up at one members house then we rolled out as a group to the show. We had all kinds of people stairing at us as a convoy of Camaro's made our way to the show. We left the show mid afternoon and headed to Watkins Glen speedway to take 3 laps around the track. I dont have a video camera so all I have is a still shot taken by my wife as we followed the pace car around the track. The pace car driver was cool as he let us hit 100 on the straightaway. I also found out that day that if you want to spend any real time on a road course with a V6 Camaro plan on upgrading your brakes. Mine were pretty hot after those laps and I had to park it for a little while when I was done to let them cool down.

These next few ar some of my favorite shots of my Camaro. They were taken on a couple of trips that we made to Florida to visit my sister-in-law. The beach shots were taken just off the Courtney Campbell Causeway between Tampa and St Petersburg. The third one has the Sunshine Skyway in the background.

The last couple of days here have been somewhat decent weather wise temps near 40 so it was actually warm enough in my unheated garage for me to work on some of this winters mods. I did do all of the painting in my basement because it was still too cold to paint outside. The first couple of shots are of my strut bar. I removed it and polished the center section and painted the ends black.
Next up were the Hex Vents I have been wanting to paint the mesh and splash trays since I had them installed at the fest last August but never found the time before I put the Camaro away for the winter. I absolutely love the way these came out. Last I decided to paint my CAI as the natural aluminum was starting to look a little dull after being on for a couple of years now. I had a lot of issues with this project and I am still not 100 percent satisified with the final finish but its acceptable for now. I may change this up at a later date.

I still have a few winter mods left that I have not installed yet. One is a set of polished engine cap covers with carbon fiber decals in the center that I purchased used off a a member here. They attach with 3M tape and I am waiting for warmer weather to stick them on as that will be a quick and easy job.
Then I purchased a used Razzi front splitter as I want to do something to give the front a more agressive look. I need to get that painted IOM at a body shop before I can install it. I may add led lights to the ports on it as well still trying do decide if I like it or not. Finally I want to get some strut tower covers to clean up that area under the hood. I just need to find a style I like and purchase them. I should have all of these things done by the time I pull it out of storage and I will update this as I get them done.
