Need some advice on stripes... - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So I think about 98.6% of folks out there who are getting stripes painted on or vinyl stripes laid down on their camaro are going to be black. Nothing wrong with this b/c it looks damn good on every color. Being that I'm different... I want my camaro to be different. I ordered the CGM, RS w/Silver Midnight wheels. I'm looking for opinions from you guys as to what other colors would look badass on it. I'm tossing around shades of blue orange and red to really make my car stand out. What do y'all think?!?!?!

I think the right shade of blue would be very orignal and look awesome.

This is the dilemma I'm having... I think red would look sick. Then yesterday saw a mustang gt grey with a kinda royal blue racing stripes that looked sick. Then I'm thinkin since the CGM has the flake in it...maybe the sunset orange (burnt orange) thats on the vettes would look sick... I don't know what to do!!!!

I think on the CGM a yellow stripe or a almost bright silver like chrome look would look good!

i always wonder how CGM stripes would like on CGM, or black stripes on black, wouldnt contrast much but might be cool. Iam shying away from paint because the reversability factor.

I'm also thinking like you, with my CGM, but I've really begun to hate the FLAT black vinyl. I just don't think it blends well with the shining CGM. I was thinking the SIM stripes...I want to see that. I have seen a pic with the all white stripes though and that shit is nice, it stands out much more than the flat blacks...

I am getting gloss black ralley stripes painted on with orange pinstriping (IO interior) along with flat black framing the elco (I beleive that is what is called) around the tail lights.

I think a deep purple metallic would be sweet.

If not, then I'd go with a silver pearl.

Have your paint guy pick out one of the metallic flake colors in the cyber grey and do ghost stripes on the car. Check out the IOM with ghost stripes for an idea of what I am refering to.

It is in the custom paint thread.
